The Agbrigg Writers, as the name suggests, have a base in the Agbrigg Community Centre, Montague Street, Agbrigg, Wakefield where they meet on Thursday afternoons between 1pm and 3pm to pursue an interest in creative writing. Sessions usually take the form of reading exemplar pieces of writing, reading work produced for homework and appraising the work of others.
It is a kindly, supportive session but the intention is always to improve the quality of work produced. Readers of this website can decide whether or not the Agbrigg Writers are successful in achieving this aim by browsing the various pages. Or they can seek out the publications for which the Writers have been responsible.
